This book is about a nine year old boy that has to move from Berlin to a house called "out-with".Bruno does not like it at the out-with because he is lonely because he had to leave his friends his beautiful house and his loving grandparents.So one day Bruno decides to explore this large devastating fence out side his window and finds a small skinny boy called Shmuel they become friends which leads to Bruno and Shmuel died by getting gased by Bruno's father.
