This book is about a girl called Hazel Hooper. She is a witch. She has spent all her time in an isolated forest with her magical mother. But one day everything changes when her mother is kidnapped by a demon. Hazel is suddenly alone in the world. It turns out that hazel also has magic but she's not very good at controlling it. While on the mission to find her mother she finds a surprising dormouse named Bramley and he can talk. In order to find her mother Hazel must track down the demon so she takes a risk and chooses to take the help of some expert demon hunters who are also Witch finders. Hazel has to save her mother and keep her identity as a witch secret from the demon hunters. Can she do it?

I recommend this book for people who like scary books. I rate this book a 8/10

I loved this book because of the good use of vocabulary and that helped this book to make it interesting.
