Name: Hirushi Perera
Book Number: 13/20
Title: James and the Giant Peach
Author: Roald Dahl
Genre: Classic Literature

This book is about poor James Henry Trotter who's parents died by being eaten by a rhinoceros and lives with his two repulsive aunts, aunt Sponge and aunt Spiker who treat him really badly. One day an old man gave a bag of little green things that look like crystals promising it would change his miserable life. The things mistakenly spill under the old peach tree and a peach grows and it starts to get bigger. James climbs inside the peach and finds large insects and they go rolling away changing James's life.

I would recommend this book for people who like fun and interesting children's fantasy books or Roald Dahl's books. I would rate this book 9/10

I enjoyed this book because it was fun, interesting and a happy ending.

  1. Roald Dahl creates fantastic characters. I love how horrible Aunt Spiker and Aunt Sponge are.
