This book is about a young woman, Anne Beddingfeld who comes to London for excitement and adventure but a man falls to death on the rails at Hyde Park Tube station. A man in a brown suit who is 'The Man in the Brown Suit' in newspapers comes telling he is a doctor checks the fallen man and says he's dead. He mistakenly drops a piece of paper which Anne picks up saying numbers and Kilmorden Castle, a ship she later finds out. A second death was followed but this time a woman was found strangled in Mill House, the home of Sir Eustace Pedler. Anne decides to investigate and sails on Kilmorden Castle to Cape Town. Most of it happens on the ship.

 

I would recommend this book for people who like a mixture of mystery, crime and murder and interesting books. I would rate this book 9/10

 

I really enjoyed this book and I couldn't put the book down.
