This book is about when three Baudelaire Orphans were in an enormous fire that destroyed there home and killed there parents. They then go and live with a man called Count Olaf but with all the unpleasantness with Count Olaf Mr Poe drives the orphans to a man called Dr Montgomery hoping to never see Count Olaf ever again. Dr Montgomery which they call Uncle Monty is a really nice guy and he looks after reptiles. When they move in Uncle Monty's assistance quit's so he hires a new one called Stephano  but the Baudelaire Orphans don't seem to good about him he seems familiar. The Orphans know its Count Olaf they try everything to tell Uncle Monty but he doesn't believe them. Then something goes terribly wrong the Baudelaire Orphans find Uncle Monty dead which looks like a snake bite but the Orphans think it was murder by Stephano/CountOlaf. The Baudelaire Orphans try find evidence to prove that Stephano/Count Olaf  killed Uncle Monty. Did Stephano/Count Olaf kill Uncle Monty?  Did Uncle Monty's assistance really quit?


I would recommend this book if you like really interesting and Mysterious books. I would rate this book a 10/10 because I really enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed reading this book because the mystery wasn't solved until the end.
