This book is about a little girl, Zoe who is sad because her pet hamster, Gingernut died. She lives in a flat with her dad and her lazy stepmother, Sheila. Zoe finds a baby rat in her room and names her Armitage and finds a way to keep it away from her lazy stepmother and the pest controller, Burt. Burt runs a burger store, Burt's Burgers which sells disgusting burgers that children ate. Burt catches rats and makes the meat of the burger out of rats in a horrifying machine. And the ketchup was made of cockroaches! In the end Zoe and her dad saves Armitage. And Sheila and Burt went into the horrifying machine and Zoe, Armitage and her dad lived happily forever.

I would recommend this book for people who like interesting, revolting and fun books. I would rate this book 9/10

I really enjoyed this book and I couldn't put it down. It was interesting although some passages were quite gross and revolting.
