In this book, Matilda discovers that she loves books and by the age of 3 she has taught herself to read. At 4, she has read all the children's stories in the library. Her parents hate to see her read and are unencouraging. When Matilda first starts school she meets her teacher Miss Honey. She has a frightening principal, Miss Trunchball and she thinks that Matilda is a nasty little worm. In the end, Miss Honey adopts Matilda while her parents and brother go to another country.

I would recommend this book to people who like sad stories with a happy ending. I rate this book a 9/10

I really like this book because it had a lot of ups and downs and I couldn't put the book down.

    It's a great story. I watched the movie again just the other week. Love Miss Trunchball :)
